Add Facebook Pixel to your website

Among analytics platforms, Meta Pixel is a popular tool that lets you track how people use your website, how well your ads perform, webshop purchases, related conversions, and more.

Set up Meta Pixel

  1. Open Events Manager.
  2. Click Connect Data.
  3. In the window that opens, choose Web.
  4. Give your Pixel a name (e.g. [website name] Pixel).
  5. Enter your website’s exact address. Make sure to use the domain with an SSL certificate that opens with https://. Don’t use your Voog technical address (like example.voog.com) or the www. version (www.example.com).
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Facebook will give you a Pixel ID – a long number string (e.g. 1234567890).

You’ll need the Pixel ID for:
  • Adding it in the Integrations view to track all page views.
  • Tracking additional events such as cart additions, purchases, and button clicks – this helps measure the effectiveness of your ads.

Connect Pixel to Voog

  1. Open your Voog site and click Integrations on the bottom toolbar.
  2. From the list, choose Meta Pixel.
  3. In the window that opens, enter your Pixel ID and save changes.

Voog will automatically add the required Pixel base code and your Pixel ID into your site’s header.

You can test your Meta Pixel in Meta Events Manager or with the Meta Pixel Helper browser extension to make sure events are being tracked correctly. Note that Meta-side setup is required for tracking page visits. To further enhance its capabilities, configure the PageView event through the Events Manager.

Track additional events

Once you’ve added your Pixel ID in the Integrations view, the Pixel base code is already installed on your site. You don’t need to paste it again in the header code field.

By default, the Pixel tracks only page views. If you also want to measure specific actions (e.g. adding items to cart, completing a purchase, button clicks), you’ll need to add event scripts manually to your Voog site:

  1. In Facebook’s Events Manager, select your Pixel.
  2. Choose Add Event > From Pixel.
  3. Create the required event script (e.g. AddToCart, Purchase).
  4. Copy the event script without the base code – since the base code is already in place via Integrations, you only need the event-specific commands.
  5. In Voog, go to Settings > Site and paste the script into the Header code field.
